XMAS POEM: FESTIVE BLAZE
And there are fifty Xmas trees
Showing the snow on every branch
Outside this house...
Clap hands, for father has the cherries
And his brother a violin.
God, who lives only for the mercy of his means,
Dazzles,
with light, the grotto
Of Yuletide fare; the festive blaze
Pulls crackers and plucks sloes.
Shower, with snow, this winter world -
Then dormant life can spring anew.
'Hey-hoh, the holly and the berry!'
